A Volcano Erupted in Room 5 today

There was an eruption in Room 5 today!!!!
As part of our science experiment, we created a volcano in the classroom.  First, we built a volcano using playdoh then we added baking soda and vinegar with some red dye.  The result was the amazing flow of 'lava' down the mountain with fizzing sound.

Were we surprised at the reaction?  Yes, we were.  We had lots of questions to ask and answer.

Swimming Fun Day

We have now finished our swimming lessons and to celebrate, we had a fun swim day.  We played volleyball, dived under the water to find things and swam through the hola hoop.

We are now looking forward to our lessons next year.  We are so grateful that our board of trustees pay to have our pool and to Ms Brough for looking after our pool.

See you next year, dear pool!!!

Planting Beans and Peas

As part of our 5+ a day inquiry learning topic, we planted beans and peas.

We are looking forward to eating our beans and peas.

Celebrating Bulgarian New Year

Every year on 1st of March, the Bulgarians celebrate their new year.  They give each other martenitzi as a symbol of this celebration.  It is a very important celebration to the Bulgarian people.
Ivan is wearing his martenitzi which comes in red and white.  His ones were sent to him by his grandma from Bulgaria.

We wish all the Bulgarian people a happy new year.
