Cross country finals

What a busy, fun term we have had.  It was the cross country time as well.  We had practised every morning and we were ready for the finals.  When Mrs Mitchell said, "get set, go", we sprinted as fast as our legs could go.  We had to run twice around the field and were very tired at the end.

Julius came first in the 8 year old boys race.

Congratulations Madisyn

Madisyn was so excited to receive 3rd placing in the junior speech finals.  She was very nervous at the beginning but she had practised her speech and she delivered her speech beautifully with lots of smiles.

The Speech Finalists

Our speech finalists showed a lot of courage as they stood and delivered their speech to the audience.  They looked at the audience, spoke clearly and remembered their speeches.  We are so proud of them.

Snag Golf

We have been really lucky as we have been given the opportunity to play Snag Golf with Shannon. Some basic steps to remember before we can hit the ball:
  • arms straight
  • feet pointing forwards
  • hands together
  • Say "snag" loudly when we hit the target.

It has been so much fun and we have learned so many skills already.  Some of us are so good at hitting the target that the multipurpose room rings with "snag" sounds.

Collaborative Writing

We decided to try collaborative writing this week in our class.  In our teams, we all started to write our own story but after a few minutes, we had to pass our story to another team member so they could continue with our story.  Some of the stories were really funny!!
