ANZAC Service- We Will Remember Them

We had an ANZAC service before the holidays.  It was a very special service and some parents came too.
Adalene was our flag bearer.  We wore our poppies proudly.

Our class wrote an acrostic poem which was read by Ivan.

ANZAC
Appreciate the efforts of the soldiers
Never forget them
Zipped together as a team
Allowed us to live safely
Countries, Australia and New Zealand working together

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM!!

Update on the Beans

Our beans are growing and reaching for the ceiling, well almost!!  They have flowers which have started to turn into little beans.  Our peas have started to grow too.  We are so excited!!

Maths Investigation

We were looking at different ways of measuring the length of our field.  We tried to run and count but realised that our steps were not equal.  We also thought that we could measure the length by laying down on the field but then we didn't have enough people and we were all of different heights!!

After trying lots of different ways, we came to the conclusion that whatever we use to measure, has to be the same size everytime so we decided to use our steps.  Our field is very long!!!

Open Morning

Our whananu visiting us for the open morning.
