Corn flour gloop

Fridays are our science experiment days.  This Friday we had to guess what we were going to do.  Our teacher told us that it was messy but fun.  We thought we might be working with clay or sand  or mud.  We went outside and she showed us some white powder, it felt smooth and it didn't have any smell.  She told us that it was corn flour.  She then poured some water in it and told us to mix it in and make it into a ball.  Well, the ball wouldn't stay in shape!  It seemed to 'melt' in our hands.  It was so much fun and we didn't want to stop.

  1. Hello Room 5, I can see that you were having a great time doing your science experiment! How long did it take to turn the cornflour into a ball.

    1. Hi Meana, it was a lot of fun but we didn't manage to make it into a ball because it kept turning back into goop.

  2. I was lucky enough to see you using the gloop, it looked like a lot of fun and something you could do at home. Just ask first!
