Room 5 Rocks at the Assembly

This week was our first syndicate assembly and we were so excited.  We shared, we sang, we played the musical instruments and  WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!

We shared our pastel art.

We Sang:

Beat the drum, beat the drum, beat the drum this way, sounding really good now, play it through the day

Shake the shaker, shake the shaker, shake the shaker this way, sounding really good now, play it through the day

About me

We have been learning about ourselves, our whanau, where we live (Panmure and Glen Innes).  Next we are going to look at our city of Auckland and our country, New Zealand.

Buzz Groups

One of our key competencies is Participating and Contributing.  Here we are in our buzz groups sharing our news and listening to our team mates news.

We are starting to ask some questions too.

We have been busy painting

We are learning different techniques of painting so we brought out the paintbrushes, marbles, bubble wrap and our hands!

Marble Painting: We rolled marbles on blobs of paint, it was s much fun racing the marbles and we created beautiful artwork as a result.

Our self portraits: We made hand prints and then painted our bodies.

For this art work, we had to blend the paints first to make the background.  We then used bubble wrap to make patterns on our butterfly.

Swimming 2015

Our swimming lessons are well under way.  The instructors are now gone, teaching us lots of new skills.  We are now practising them so we can swim even better.

We are so lucky to have free lessons and a pool to practise.
